Publication Title

Bronchopneumonia: Pathogenesis, Clinical Insights and Therapeutic Approaches

Abstract

Transplant recipients are at increased risk of complications, including graft dysfunction and infections, many of which are life-threatening if not recognized early. Pneumonia is one of the leading complications in both solid organ and hematopoietic stem cell transplants. This chapter focuses on early identification, differential diagnosis based on the level of immunosuppression, timeline after transplant, underlying risk factors, and managing infectious complications in transplant recipients.
